I agree with what you said about the obscured purpose of Data Science. I've seen this often as an analyst—numbers without meanings taking over the decision-making and lead to catastrophic outcomes.

I'm curious to know more about why you think the professional of Data Scientists will go extinct. As far as I know, we came from an era where data science was part of other peoples' job to a specialized role. As in many other fields, wouldn't this further branch out to more specialized roles?
